Sources confirmed that instructions from the Jordan Football Association, which prohibit playing for more than two local or foreign clubs in a single season, prevented Rizk Banihani from re-signing with his main club, Jordan's Al-Faisali, which had sought to sign him after his departure from Al-Zawraa. Sources in Al-Faisali's administration stated that the club entered into negotiations with the player before they were halted following a legal consultation that revealed Rizk Banihani has two choices: either return to Al-Hussein Irbid, for whom he played at the start of the season, or not join any Jordanian club at all until the end of the season. Striker Rizk Banihani, 24, returned to Jordanian club Al-Hussein Irbid on loan after terminating his contract with Iraqi Al-Zawraa.
