Controversial Goal in Al-Wehdat vs. Al-Hussein Irbid Match

The match between Al-Wehdat and Al-Hussein Irbid at the end of the 20th round featured a rare event that caused widespread controversy and divided opinions. Players of Al-Wehdat, along with its technical and administrative staff, protested on the field, claiming the ball entered the goal through an external hole in the net next to the top of the right post. They engaged in a debate with the match referee for over three minutes, requesting him to review it with his assistant, as the Jordanian league does not use the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology. The incident occurred in the 30th minute with a powerful shot by Al-Hussein Irbid's player Mohammad Abu Qush towards the Al-Wehdat goal. After it appeared the ball entered the top right corner and nestled in the net, referee Adham Al-Makhadma announced the goal, giving his team the lead.
