A Jordanian citizen sparked a wave of debate after revealing that he has been married thirteen times. He put forward a strange social theory calling for a reversal of traditional marriage norms and demanded that women pay a dowry to men to ensure the longevity of married life and to appreciate his value. According to Wael Al-Amleh, his long journey in the world of marriage ended with his 13th wife, with whom he has now settled, describing her as the culmination of a fifty-year path. These multiple marriages resulted in him fathering 11 children, after which he decided to be content and stop experimenting. Al-Amleh added that his list of wives included various professions and backgrounds, having married a doctor, flight attendant, legal consultant, and office workers. He stressed that all these marriages were official and documented in the courts of the countries he lived in, such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Kuwait.
