King Abdullah II of Jordan confirmed the country’s firm position on the necessity of "entrenching the rights of Palestinians on their land". This statement was made during his speech at the opening ceremony of the legislative year.
The king emphasized the importance of seeking a just and long-term political solution to the crisis in the Middle East, based on the initiative of the two states. Abdullah II also reiterated the importance of addressing the Palestinian question, which remains a core issue for Jordan.
"We continue to call for international actions aimed at restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to establish an independent state with its capital in East Jerusalem along the 1967 borders," - stated King Abdullah II.
