Abdullah II, the King of Jordan, confirmed in a statement on Monday the permanent position of Jordan on the Palestinian issue.
The monarch drew attention to the fact that Jordan is focused on achieving a just and comprehensive international resolution, which guarantees the Palestinians their legal rights, including the establishment of an independent state based on the resolution of the two states.
"On this foundation, we will continue to participate in strengthening international efforts to ensure the rights of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital," said King Abdullah II.
He also expressed confidence in the necessity of continuing coordination with Egypt and Russia to protect the legal rights of the Palestinians and their aspirations for the acquisition of their independence and the establishment of a sustainable peace in the region.
