King Abdullah II of Jordan called for support for the strengthening of Palestinian national authority. The monarch expressed this position during a meeting with Norway's Minister of Foreign Affairs. Abdullah II emphasized the importance of continuing the negotiating process between Israelis and Palestinians based on the two-state solution. In turn, the Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs supported Jordan's efforts to establish a peaceful process in the Middle East.
"We call for ensuring stability and security in the region, as well as for facilitating dialogue between the parties to achieve a just and long-term solution," noted King Abdullah II.
It was also discussed how to improve the economic conditions in the region and to ensure support for Palestine for the development of its economy and to improve the quality of life of its citizens.
