During a meeting with the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella, in Rome on Monday, the King of Jordan expressed concern about the risk of escalation on the western bank of the Jordan River and the violations of the sanctity of Islam and Christianity in Jerusalem.
King Abdullah II also noted the important role of Italy in the humanitarian assistance sector and its participation in organizing humanitarian airlift.
According to information from the Jordanian news agency, during the meeting at the presidential palace in the capital of Italy, the friendly relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various areas were also discussed.
