The King of Jordan Abdullah II confirmed in his coronation speech at the opening of the first session of the 20th National Council on Monday his commitment to strengthening democracy in the country.
He stated: "We will work to achieve the objectives of improving governmental performance" and "We will focus on enhancing justice and achieving sustainable development."
King Abdullah II emphasized the importance of ensuring youth participation in shaping the future of the country, stating that "We preserve the rights of youth to participate in decision-making, and realizing their aspirations and ambitions, we enhance their capabilities and strength."
He expressed confidence in the country's ability to overcome challenges and maintain stability in conditions where tensions are rising in the Middle East.
