Today, on Tuesday, the legal authorities of Iran were engaged in a case involving a student who suffered burns all over his body after being attacked by two of his classmates at one of the schools in the Rusayfah region, which is part of the Zarqa province. According to the words of the official representative of the General Directorate of Public Security, immediately after the incident, specialized groups began the investigation, detained two suspects, summoned witnesses, examined surveillance cameras, and gathered all necessary details for the transfer of the case to the competent judicial authorities, with a referral to the Petra agency.
The shocked public opinion triggered a terrible incident with 11-year-old Mukhammed Hamidi, who was subjected to an attack by his two classmates at the Khalid ibn Walid School in Rusayfah. The Department of Education of the Zarqa province formed a commission for urgent investigation of the incident and clarifying all circumstances of the occurrence. The director of the education department in the Zarqa province, Dr. Ahmed ash-Shudayfat, stated in an interview for local news outlets that the education department immediately formed a committee to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
Ash-Shudayfat emphasized that strict legal measures would be applied in case the facts were confirmed after the investigation, noting that measures, prescribed by the education department, began immediately after the incident, including providing assistance to the student in the hospital. The mother of Mukhammed, Safiya Hasan, (the mother of Mukhammed) voiced through one of the new media outlets, calling for help for her son, saying: "My son left home for school, and I didn't think he would return burned. How could this happen inside the school?". She emphasized that "the assailants grabbed her son and locked the door," calling for everyone to "take responsibility for her son".
It later became known that a video was distributed of the student at the time of treatment on social platforms, his condition was assessed as critical. According to Ammon, a teacher asked the student to bring a broom for class cleaning, and when he entered the school kitchen, he found that two of his classmates were holding him and pouring hot liquid on him "on his back".
According to the testimony of the same student, who appeared in the video on social platforms, the teacher immediately came to his aid, trying to put out the scorching flames on him and get him to a hospital, where he was found to have burns all over his body. Student Mukhammed added, saying: "I didn't do anything to them, why did they do this to me... I am an orphan, I don't threaten anyone, and no one has any grievances".
