The Department of Public Consultations of Jordan has summarized the results of the first week of the holy month of Ramadan. The total number of issued fatwas amounted to 12,370, reported the official representative of the department, Dr. Ahmed al-Harasys. According to the data, the fatwas were distributed as follows: 208 fatwas on real divorce, 575 fatwas on unreal divorce, 896 individual consultations, 9,097 fatwas by telephone, 15 written inquiries, 80 text messages, 1,102 visits to the department's website, 307 inquiries on Facebook, 90 on radio.

Al-Harasys emphasized that the main reasons for divorces and family conflicts in the first week of the holy month are related to anger, inconsistency, negative interference from relatives, disagreements on social issues, insufficient understanding of the rights and obligations of spouses, as well as problems related to social networks, mutual misunderstandings, and material difficulties.

Al-Harasys confirmed that the statistics gathered for the first week of Ramadan reflect the vitality of Jordanian society in inquiries about their religious life, expressing the confidence of people in the department of public consultations and the issued fatwas.

At the same time, Al-Harasys noted that the number of views, likes, and reposts of the department's programs on social networks and through the mass media made the first week of Ramadan very bright. The total number of views, likes, and reposts exceeded 22 million, indicating the audience's interest in various and attractive programs of the department of public consultations.
