The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs has called on Russian authorities to stop recruiting Jordanians and to terminate the service of any Jordanian previously recruited into the Russian Army. The statement quoted the official spokesperson for the ministry, Fouad Al-Majali, as saying that the ministry is closely monitoring cases of luring Jordanian citizens by foreign entities for the purpose of illegal recruitment, which is considered a violation of Jordanian and international law and exposes citizens to danger. According to the statement, Al-Majali pointed out that the ministry urges citizens to report any attempts to recruit them in the Russian Army, and warns against dealing with such entities due to the danger to citizens' lives and the violation of the law, in addition to demanding that Russian authorities stop recruiting Jordanians and terminate the service of any Jordanian previously recruited into the Russian Army, and that it will take all available measures to stop this process. The 'Jordanian Foreign Ministry' warned of the existence of entities operating through the internet to recruit Jordanians, confirming that it is monitoring these entities in coordination with national institutions to take all legal and diplomatic measures to stop them and apply the law against them, as their actions of luring Jordanians and recruiting them into a foreign army constitute a grave violation of international law, international obligations, and Jordanian law, which criminalizes joining a foreign army, according to the statement.
