The Jordanian national basketball team's coaching staff, led by Canadian head coach Roy Rana, has announced a preliminary 18-player roster as the 'Falcons of Sham' prepare for their upcoming matches against Syria on November 27 and 30. These games are part of the first window of Asian qualifiers for the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup in Qatar. 'Our team is working hard in preparation for the first window matches against Syria,' stated Jordanian national team head coach Roy Rana in an official release from the Jordanian Basketball Federation. The roster includes players: Mohamed Shaher, Ahmed Hmarseh, Ahmed Hasoun, Amin Abu Hawwas, Malik Kanan, Akif Shiab, Basel Abu Obaid, Ali Kanan, Fady Karim, Youssef Abu Wazna, Izzat At-Taweel, Adham Dajani, Michel Nafaa, Freddy Ibrahim, Abdullah Olwan, Ruhayelani, Hashim Abbas, and Ahmad Al-Dweiri. It is expected that a naturalized player will soon be announced to join the 'Falcons of Sham'.
