The hiring of Issa Turk, a player and coach with a long history, came as a surprise in sports circles after he had been away from coaching teams for five years. While nine other clubs changed their coaching staff, some more than once during the season, only one club remained committed to its coach. Al-Wehdat SC was the only club to retain its veteran coach Issa Turk, nicknamed the 'Sheikh of Jordanian Coaches,' since signing him at the start of the season. He has led the team through all 18 rounds of the first and second legs of the Jordanian Pro League and continues in his role as the third and final phase of the league begins.
